One-half of the school youngsters in the United States do not get enough vitamin C in their daily diet
The following findings were revealed:
1. Only about 25 % of the boys and women were
eating sufficient energy-creating foods to keep the body

5. There was a serious vitamin shortage, together with
vitamins A, B, and C in both boy’s and girl’s diets.
6. Only seven women and twelve boys of the two,536 ex-
amined had excellent teeth. (Dental caries is evidence of
dietary deficiencies.)
7. Eighteen % of the girls and 19 % of the
boys were underweight.
8. Eye hassle, caused by poor diet, significantly a
lack of vitamin A, was evident in additional than 3-quar-
ters of the adolescents examined.
9. Poor complexions, acne and rough skin were the
rule, with the girls creating a worse showing than the
boys.
